SKIING IN WINTER AND SUMMER
With its altitude of 3.600m and its glacier, Les2Alpes is a great place to ski for both the starter and the very experienced skier.
You can start on the free slopes in the village, or go up and ski down one of the 93 slopes (223 km's in total). You can actually ski from 3.600m alt right to the front door of the apartment. There's a Snowpark, a kids ski area (with an adapted lift), a Ski Cross track,…
And if all that isn't enough, you can ski to Alpe d'Huez or access the La Grave area, known for its off-piste and extreme skiing.
And if it still isn't enough, go back in the summer and ski on the glacier. Les2Alpes has the biggest glacier to ski on in France.
Renting ski's is easy. There are shops everywhere. At Brun Sports, right next to the main ski lift, you can leave your walking shoes when you go up, and leave your ski stuff when you go back. Jacques Sport (close to the apartment) is one of the few to rent out Stöckli's; great ski's.
If you need ski lessons, there are quite some options. We personally have very good experiences with European Ski School. They teach in many languages (of which Dutch - nice for the kids). You can take group or private lessons or book a guide. And the meeting point is very close to the apartment.
A great way to do summerskiing, is booking a summerstage with TipTopSkiCoaching. Check out their site for more info.
